Megan Williams Seymore
Director of Bands
Megan Williams Seymore brings a decade of teaching experience to her new role as the director of bands at Jones Middle School in Prosper ISD. Prior to her current position, Megan made significant contributions to the education landscape in Alvarado, Burleson and Clovis, New Mexico.
In 2014, Megan earned distinction, graduating with a Bachelor of Music Education degree and a Master of Music degree in Flute Performance from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas.
Throughout her career, Megan has led bands to notable achievements, including victories in the ATSSB Outstanding Performance Series and unanimous first-division ratings at the Texas UIL Concert and Sight-reading Contest. A sought-after clinician and adjudicator across Texas, Megan is an active member of professional organizations such as the Association of Texas Small School Bands, Texas Music Educators Association, and Texas Music Adjudicators Association.
Beyond her dedication to music education, Megan is a fervent advocate for the transformative power of music in fostering creativity, empowering minds, and promoting personal growth. Off the podium, she channels her energy into two passions: golf and fitness. As a golf enthusiast, Megan is always up for a swing on the green, and as a fitness fanatic, she embraces the challenge of a good workout session. Megan Williams Seymore embodies a harmonious blend of musical artistry, educational excellence, and a zest for life both on and off the podium.
